MyChat Client settings, section "Updates"

Check for new MyChat version weekly

When there is an update on MyChat website, MyChat Client will show the notification window with the list of changes made in a new version.

 

Update using the current Windows account

Update MyChat Client under the same account where the program is working. If a Windows user do not have enough rights for installing software, he won't be able to update MyChat Client.

 

Specify account for update

You can specify which Windows account to update. It is necessary when a user who works with MyChat does not have rights for installing the program. A Windows user account data is stored in encrypted database.

 

When working in the Active Directory, it is mandatory to update through MyChat Server

MyChat is used in Active Directory. However, the update with the help of the domain Group Policy using MSI packages is impossible. In this case, you need to enable this settings, and MyChat  will use its own update system for downloading setup files of the latest version directly from the server.
